Our goal is to provide you with the most complete genetic services available. Our state-of-the-art lab is fully equipped to handle all of your genetic testing needs. Take a few minutes to tour our lab and discover for yourself why GeneCare is the genetics center of choice.
Our office is open for appointments from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday (except for standard holidays). If you cannot keep an appointment, please call us so we may use the time to benefit another patient. Emergency services are available at all times. Call the office and a recorded message will inform you where we can be reached.
Genetic Counseling Session
Couples needing genetic counseling receive supportive, non-directive attention from caring professionals. Our center's counseling staff includes genetic counselors and Board Certified Medical Geneticists with extensive training and experience. Our counselors are experts in dealing with the questions and concerns of your patients and staff.
Specimen Processing Station/Lab Receiving
99.9% successful culture and diagnosis are provided for all viable specimens transported to our Center. Specimens for chromosome studies may be sent overnight without compromising the quality of the specimens received or the test results. Transport via overnight courier is as safe and reliable as local delivery.
Technician Preparing Amniotic Fluid Cultures
Amniotic fluid cells are cultured in situ on glass cover slips for clonal analyses. We have a 99.9% growth rate for sterile, viable specimens. Solid tissues (e.g. products of conception) are enzymatically disassociated to single cell suspension which increases recovery of viable cells, cell attachment, and tissue culture success rate.
Computer-assisted Karyotyping
Our state-of-the-art computer-assisted karyotyping system provides fast, 100% accurate analysis. Turnaround time on all tests are the fastest available. This technician is performing a Metaphase Chromosome Analysis.
Expert Analysis of Test Results
All results are interpreted by Board Certified Medical Geneticists.

Our staff is available 7 days a week to assist you and your patients. The GeneCare staff includes two Medical Geneticists who are certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics; Dr. Philip D. Buchanan, Ph.D., and Dr. Karen Phillips, Ph.D..
